TAMWORTH - DISABILITY EXPO!

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Links For Life Disability Expo!

We met so many amazing people and 3 people who have worked with people with FA, have a family member with FA or have nursed patients with FA.

It was amazing but heartbreaking all at once.

I had met an amazing little girl, she had a super mini book, opened it and asked questions - alot of questions! Exactly what I want from this book, she also has a disability and i cannot help myself but to add a special new friend into our book. Please stay tuned.

Our story: inspiration behind the books

My name is Stacie Hobden. In 2021, my eldest son, at the age of 9, was diagnosed with Friedreich's Ataxia – a rare, non-curable neuromuscular degenerative disease. I had searched for a colouring page that resembled Liam to some degree for a colouring competition we had locally, this sparked the idea of "one day" I will make a colouring in book and today.... the idea for All Abilities Colouring Book is here!

Five years on, with another son also diagnosed with F.A., my inspiration comes from, not only my amazing boys but countless amazing children and their unique spirits, proving that fun knows no diagnosis.
